TGPA Fall Production Sale 2007

The Tennessee Goat Producers Association will hold its Annual Fall Production Sale 2007 on Friday, September 21st, at the Hyder-Burkes Agricultural Pavillion in Cookeville, Tennessee.

This year's sale has been limited to100 animals with each consignor being limited to 10 animals each, only 1 of which may be male per consignor. All animals of the meat breeds will be inspected by an American Meat Goat Association certified judge for conformation. Any registered animals that do not meet the standards of the registry with which it is registered will be sold as commerical stock. It is the responsibility of the breeder consigning the animal for sale to insure the animal meets its registry requirements. Each individual animal must be accompanied by a health certificate issued by a veterinarian licensed in the state of origin. A Tennessee licensed veterinarian will be on site to inspect all animals and health certificates at the time of receipt prior to the sale. The TGPA Board of Directors has implemented strict rules for this event to insure that only quality breeding stock is offered for sale to prospective buyers.
Check-in and inspection of consigned animals will begin at 7:00 a.m. Registration for buyers will begin at 2:00 p.m. Consignments will be available for viewing at this time. The sale will kick off at 5:00 p.m. and all animals sold will be held until the completion of the sale. Acceptable forms of payment will be cash or check. Auction services will be provided by Green Acres Real Estate and Auction, firm # 5126, of Clarkrange, Tennessee. Lunch and refreshments will be available for purchase at the Pavillion.
